The reasons why I am drinking 3 litters of water every day.

①The reason why I think about water intake.

This is the textbook which I actually used for Nutrition. We studied lots of area of nutrition and “water intake” is one of the main part of study. Through this unit, we did case-study which is really close to reality, made a recommended food plan for the actual athlete. I did it for Ultimate Frisbee player . I believe it is quite easy trying thinking about how much I am drinking water, also it does not cost much. That is the reason why I thought I should try it out by myself. Nowadays, I am trying drinking water 3 litters per day.

②What exactly I felt with it.

Please check the main benefit that correct water intake can make you change because I just would like to tell you the reality with my own experience thru this 6 months. If you Google it by yourself, you can find it in a second.

Firstly, I have got endurance.

I was pretty easy to get tired before I was not drinking water enough. However, after I am thinking about it, I do not feel tired much as before.

Secondly, I could get rid of Migraine.

I was quite easy to get migraine, pretty much every second day, and I noticed “oh, I have not drunk water much yet today.” after I got migraine. Now, no need to worry about migraine at all, still I get it when I cannot drink water enough… haha

How important is water for Surfing?

We are sweating even we are swimming in the water even it seems we are not sweating, because of that we do not think about drinking water much. Even we are drinking salty-water without thinking, it means our salinity concentration of body is increasing. When body is getting back it to homeostasis, we need more water. Drink water enough before surfing, it give you more energy, endurance and even increase your peak performance of your surfing session. This is comes from my own experience thru some of session with drinking water and without it.

③Recommended daily water intake as dietitian in Australia.

Why is it 3 litter? 

I asked to dietitian who is called Tara who gave us a speech in a class.

The fact the recommend daily water intake is “body wait × 0.03 litters”

 

So, in my case,

58kg×0.03=1.74litters

This is my needed water intake. Yes, I know it does not saying I need to drink 3 litters. Because this is the minimum border of water intake per day which is needed for daily activity, so I need to drink at least that litters.

 

④How I can drink much water without getting tired.

It is pretty hard to drink a lot of water than expected, also it is quite boring just drinking water.  At the beginning, I was trying with 500ml of bottle but it was just hard to keep drinking with it somehow, maybe at some stage I forget that how much water I already drank. So the first strategy was change to the big bottle, such as 1.5 litters of bottle then I just need 2 bottle of water!

 

 

I am also changing taste with Lemon or Lime Juice, Apple cider vinegar, put Slice of Lemon or Lime.

The fact is that you do not have to drink water if you do not want to, such as Apple juice, coke or even cucumber are fine to intake water.  But, why do we have to drink water? The reasons are “there is no calorie, easy to get it and low cost!”

 

Okey, so, why don’t you calculate your recommended daily water intake and drink at least that much of water for the day?

You will notice the difference and feel your body feels getting better than now!

①Giving training for the real Client in the class.

②I have done “this” for the first day.

We can get the opportunity of the giving training for the real clients in a class. I believe this is one of the highlight of this course because before we work in industry, we can have the real experience with kind of security by teachers.  But still we have to create our own program and training, also we have to commit them. I have got a Ultimate Frisbee player who is competing as internationals.

Last time I was a trainer, but this time, I am participating in this program.

②I have done “this” for the first day.

This is the DAY!!!

I have got first screening today by my trainer Ludvig (from Sweden) and he had asked me about injury history, my goals of training, some physical tests. We had taken part in the surfing session last 6 months together and we have been good friends each other as a normal, but we are now Trainer and Client.

This is the first physical test he suggested me, BEEP TEST. As a result, I could get Level 10-11 today. It means GOOD.

Now I am really looking forward to getting improve my physical level in these 10 sessions with my trainer Ludvig.

①Who is “Professional Surfer Kaiki Yamanaka”?

He was born in 1994 from Osaka, Japan, currently University student of Kansei University.

He is the hope of Kansai area in professional surfers for the world wide competitor.

Now he is moving his base to QS (Qualification Series) from Japan, JPSA (Japan Pro Surfing Association),

and competing hard even he is carrying significant Lower Back Issue.

Nowadays, he is staying at Gold Coast, Australia to compete QS.

Though I could not see him much in Japan due to the distance between Osaka and Tokyo,

I have been seeing him in Australia often on February pretty much every year since we had been friend.

At this time, I had a chance to go to Gold Coast from Sunshine Coast for something else,

eventually he offer me to do his body conditioning at the time and I accept it.

 

②What is Body conditioning?

We, personal trainer, calling Body Conditioning for checking muscle balance

and maintenance it with full knowledge of muscular, anatomy, bones and physiological point.

We use the techniques of stretching and strength, the skill of muscle maintenance for body conditioning.

 

③How I approached to the body during competition period?

It was the first session for Kaiki, had a screening about how is body going,

how do you treat your body in Japan,

then I talked to Kaiki how he wants to treat today, this time.

The day was just between the competition (2 days before the next comp),

so I did not give deep tissue treatment for him but treat superficial tissue,

release fatigue muscle pain for whole body with general pressure

base with the treatment what he normally has in Japan.

 

Also I asked him what he normally train and fix some techniques

and give some new core exercises and stretching.

 

I got a text from him after that and he said;

 I feel my body has got  really light!

Lower back is still sore,

I would like to have your body conditioning again!

I was really happy with he got positive result

but also I was a little bit shocked that his lower back is the same,

even I expected it will not change a lot

because it was not good time to give deep tissue treatment for that area.

I told him that you need a patience to fix it well and need to take a time approaching it.

Also that is the job of mine that make that time short and even stronger than before as a good personal trainer.

I said to him that I would like to have session more often and make him stronger.

Now still studying for the next session for better result.

 

Until I can say these words with full of confidence that “making lower back better ”

from my own experience of Herniated disc of lower back,

that experience was one of best session for me to be motivated even higher!!
